Evaluations

Evaluations

In what situations can be beneficial to use clinical evaluations?

  • School behavior or academical problems to rule out learning or attention problems
  • Divorce situations in which children are adversely affected to determine the best parenting plan
  • Unclear clinical diagnosis
  • Legal situations where your lawyer sees the benefit of evaluating your current mental health and need for treatment

In clinical evaluations, we assess the mental, emotional, and/or intellectual health of the patient. These evaluations can require several hours depending on the objective. The methodology used includes clinical interviews, revision of prior testing, clinical observations, and administration of psychological tests. Several professionals from the team, Psychologists and Psychiatrists, may participate in a given evaluation.
